topflite13
I have taken my truck into a pioneer dealer and they have hooked my speed sence wire up to every possible connection they can find and no luck. Is this a issue because my truck is a diesel and has any one else had the same issue. the dealer is talking about puttting a after market speed probe under the tire well to hook up to the speed sinse wire. any ideas or is this the only option I have. garrettoomey
The VSS is in the can-bus. You will need a PAC interface to connect it up.

CaptainInsaneO
I believe there's some guidance in the user's manual about diesel vehicles. I would give you the page number but my owner's manual is about 3000 miles away right now. Try flipping through it and see what you find.
garrettoomey
This is the part you need CHYAH05. Accessory 12V, parking brake, reverse, parking light and VSS output wires are supplied for full aftermarket radio OEM integration Auto detects the presence of a factory amplifier, if present turns it on by the CANBUS commands triggered by remote input wire from aftermarket head-unit Plug-n-Play installation into existing factory sound system provides greater time savings and does not harm factory vehicle wiring See my post here for the parts that I used: viewtopic.php?f=25&t=9692 I do not endorse the site below, but they were the first Google search hit: http://www.autotoys.com/x/product.php?productid=8565
