I have been eyeing this product since you started making them.

I was going to make one myself, but I wanted it black. Getting a little part like this anodized isn't cheap, and making a steel one & cranking up the blue pot is too much work for a little part.

I just bought a "Black KNURLDED" Knob... WHAT A GREAT PRICE!!!

I have two AVIC900BT's, one of my vehicles has S/Wheel controls. The other vehicle is a pain to adjust the volume.

I don't know how people do it???

Thanks,

Raymond

Yeah people think these things are so easy to make. You need to realize that to make the knob out of aluminum you have to:

1. Get a piece of 2024 Aircraft aluminum bar stock (the expensive stuff that shines the best). Most places have a minimum of $50.00 for material.

2. Machine the parts to plus or minus .001 thousandth of an inch tolerance on the I.D so that it has a press fit. (that is 1/4 as thick as a strand of your hair)

3. Create a knurled surface that has sharp knurl to grip. (No easy task.)

4. Take them to a annodizing shop and have them annodized.

5. Ship them, (and all that entails.)

It really is not as easy as some might think. Trust me, I have been doing this a long time. 8)

FWIW

I understand how tough that can be, especially since you're doing this on your own time with what seems to be somewhat limited resources. Thank you for all that you do. It's great that you took the time to create this nice modification for us.
