avicuser
Anyone know how I can remove the Premier and feature logos on the front of the unit to make it look more stock?
gruvncubn
Use the AVICFEEDS to change it
xBoosted
I think avicuser actually meant the physical logos on the front of the unit. I have though about this myself, but I have not tried anything yet.
kegger
If I'm reading it right hes asking how to remove the logo on the front of the unit...not from the display...all I can suggest is sanding it down. I think its part of the molding of the plastic housing.
gruvncubn
That being the case, I would imagine he would need to use chemicals, like acetone or rubbing compound. Rubbing compound would probably work better because it wouldn't eat the plastic but would take the writing off.
avicuser
Exactly...the physical logos that are silk screened on I guess.
JasonH
Give this a try: http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to- ... phone-wit/ A guy at work did this with a cell phone and it worked for him, can't make any guarantees though.
Mike S
They are heat transfer graphics. I used to work for a company that made these types of labels for all sorts of electronics. I'll get a hold of the chemist and ask him what would safely remove them without damaging the plastic.

Other than that the only other idea I had (and have NOT tested) is Meguiars PlastX plastic polish.
gibear2k5
I was looking for the OEM look myself so I wet sanded mine w/ 3M 1500 then 2000 grit - covered w/ three coats of Krylon Matte Clear ... this matched my Corvette's interior almost perfectly. I know you want pictures! I'll snap a few tonight after work. Scott

S4
I doubt you'll be able to remove it easily. Looks like there even might be a clear coat over it too. Not 100% on that. Just remove the trim and paint it. You don't even have to sand it so if you change your mind later on you can just strip the paint. I did that.
avicuser
thanks. the clear coat was my concern too. What's involved with removing that trim to paint it?
