Forgive me if this was answered somewhere, but after numerous searches and not finding anything that helped i figured I'd ask. I just got a f900bt and had it installed, the hardware bypass was done and i have been able to play movies via dvd while driving and parked.

I have the pioneer ipod cable hooked up with my 5th gen 80gb ipod video. I have been able to watch the movies and tv shows from my ipod fine, but i cannot watch any of the music videos. I am pretty sure they would be formatted correctly? All of the videos were downloaded from the apple itunes store and they are m4v format. When i click any of the videos, and i have tried all of them, i hear the sound and i see the artist and track title but i just see a black screen and no video.

Am i doing something wrong? Or do i have to reformat these videos? I know the ipod cable is hooked up correctly since the tv shows and movies play. Any help is appreciated, thank you!

I did have the video settings on "video out" as all the other videos have been able to play just not music videos. I'm going to just try changing formats and see if another one works or maybe even moving the videos onto a dvd/usb/sd and see if they play there, can't figure out if the problem is the ipod or the avic.

Make sure that you have the videos saved as 'music videos' in itunes under their preferences. I didn't and all of my videos showed up as movies. I couldn't select them on the f90bt. also check to see that you are syncing your music videos. Check the other settings too. I hope this helps.
