theblueprint
Ok, I had everything connected, hooked up and ready to go. The unit was working beautifully. HOWEVER, there were NO keys in the ignition and the unit was ON!!! AND IT wouldnt cut off. As long as the harness was connected, the unit stayed powered on. Even when I put the key in it stayed on, and then would take the keys out, shut and lock the car, the unit continued to stay on. This is on a 2006 VW Passat, so can someone anyone please help me figure out what this problem is?

dumpystig
Try reversing the 'Battery' (yellow) and 'Accessory' (red) connections: this is a common anomaly with Euro cars.
theblueprint
what did you mean by reversing them?
skippy2
Change the connection of the red wire to where the yellow is (and vice versa), I don't have the 7010 manual, but my F900BT installation manual has a note on it on page 10....
