Hello,

I am new to this site and have a Pioneer Z2 installed in my 06 Grand Prix GXP. I love the radio but last week I started having the touch screen freeze problem and it will only freeze when the radio is first turned on for a couple minuets. The longer the car sits turned off the longer the touch screen will freeze on startup. I did the firmware update from the Pioneer site and that seems to have not fixed the problem. I called Pioneer and the guy said that I should send it in for service becasue it is under warranty. I really dont want to send it in if at all possible because the wiring is such a pita. I am looking for suggestions on what I should do before I tear into my car to remove the radio. How good is Pioneer at doing warranty claims? Should I worry about more problems after I send the radio in to Pioneer? If you have any suggestions or anything just let me know.

Thanks

the wireing really shouldn't be a problem seeing as how everything comes unplugged from the back of it. The crappy part is driving around with no radio and a hole in your dash. as for your problem I don't know what would help. But if it's under warranty still I say suck it up and send it in. It's your best option. They know what to do to fix it and then they will bench test it as well so it'll be better than new.
