SiennaGuy
Hi I am a newbie and am considering the f700bt. I read in a few posts that F series take time to start. How much time are we talking about? 10 secs? 1 min? And is it roughly consistent for different users or varies significantly? Any input would be appreciated
MisledYouth
Although i have never timed it, mine takes roughly around 1 minute to fully boot up, including pairing to my phone. With that said, it usually starts playing my last music source within 10-15 seconds, so i do not feel that it is as painful as others might
SiennaGuy
Thanks, I read more threads and saw that the theme is starting to be responsive around 40-50 secs and fully functional over 1min. I guess my concern is about the backup camera, as my car is parked in the garage and I do not want to let it run for over a min before backing up. If I shift to reverse right after starting the engine, would that activate the backup camera, or will the unit still be stuck for another 30-40 secs? That is probably the go/no-go decision for me

That is probably the go/no-go decision for me If you shift to reverse right away, camera activates immediately. If you wait and the system gets bogged down in the boot-up process somewhere, you have to wait for the camera to be available...
