karg
How can I tell if my AVIC-D3 has the IR receiver or not? There is a small round shaped area on the top right corner just next to the DVD slot. Is that some IR sensor or something else? I would just like to know that could I use the steering wheel IR remote for this or not. My 1997 Saab doesn't have the factory steering wheel buttons like the Saab's since 1998 have. bikerider
I believe that oval is the IR sensor for the Pioneer remote. Not sure if it will work with anything else.
karg
Thanks for the info.. I ordered a CD-SR100 just for testing if it will work. No hard feelings if it doesn't.. only some 40 euros wasted. Lots of more money wasted just because I'm interested in women
karg
Yep, CD-SR100 works just fine. It just has "audio" and "func" buttons that doesn't seem to do anything with AVID-D3.
