BishopX
Hello to all, I just bought an AVIC-N2 it worked find for a while but now I keep getting a message that says insert appropiate disk. When I insert my navigation DVD Roms it then says checking disk and then says eject and insert the appropiate disk again. I do this but nothing happens at all I'm not able to even play other CDs, DVDs, etc. Can anyone help me with this problem. Thanks
cntrylvr79
Sounds like something is wrong with either the laser or the motor that spins the cd. When you slide a cd in do you hear a motor start spinning?
ballerinstaller
In my experiments in reprogramming the n1, this means that you need to reprogram/reflash the firmware in the unit. Its a pain in the @$$ but can be done. I had to do my N1 something like 15 times in my trial and error of burning dvds. I posted how to reflash on the12volt.com and it may be posted on this site as well. Not sure if it is the same on a n2 as it is on a n1 though. Anybody else know? shartley
It sounds like the same problem I'm having on my N3. Pioneer told me that the Laser Pickup is misaligned if the unit wont read any discs. Shawn
