The majority of the gauges work with the units built-in accelerometer/gyro, with the exception of the slope, i believe.

One reason why some of the features might not work is b/c your VSS (vehicle speed sensor) is not connected. You need to find the VSS wire in your car, and tap into it. There are a few threads (maybe a sticky) about finding the VSS in certain vehicles.

on my car i go to the screen with the dynamic control and the rear veiw camara and then click for the dynamic control it makes the boop and everything but nothing pops up it just stays on the nav view and no guages or anything pop up but when i go to the hardware setting to check the connections it says that there is a speed sensor is picking up a signal

If none of the gauges come up, how do you know if slope & accel/decel works? Those are gauges too...I must be misunderstanding, sorry.

I'll take a look at my unit in a little bit and see if there was anything special you might be missing. AFAI can remember, you press the "map" button on the unit, then press the gauge button. It will throw up 3 gauges (maybe compass, clock, and speed to start). Then press either of the side gauges and it will let you select a new gauge for that side.

If you're not getting that option, or gauges just aren't coming on, there is a problem with the head unit, I think.

Sorry...lazy here...did you mention if you did a reset? Might want to start from scratch. Also pull the power to the unit.

if i reset it do i have to redo all the setting like setup angle and all that back light and re calibrate the map and put my address back into the system and stuff?

And on my system it has the E brake always enabled so you can drive and watch a movie which i don't really care for could that be making the guages not come up?

Yes, if you do a reset, it's like getting it out of the box...all of your presets and settings need to be redone (...i believe...never had to do it myself but it makes sense). If the current problem bothers you enough, it's probably worth the 1/2 hour of setup time.

No, the p-brake bypass has nothing to do with it, unless it was done incorrectly (and even if it was done wrong, I doubt it would affect the gauges).
