supraholic Posted June 7, 2009 Report Share Posted June 7, 2009 My Z2 screen will not close all the way if I open it. After I press the eject button, the screen will open. When I put CD in, screen will close half way and stop. then the unit freezes. If I push the screen slightly when it is closing, then the screen closes all the way. Anyone got a fix to this? Seems the long rail with the teeth is off the track. Seems some tab is broken off. I need to replace it at a minimum. Where can I get this part from ? anyone have a partnumber? thanks. It is currently back ordered until the end of the month: http://parts.pioneerelectronics.com/part.asp?productNum=CZN7014 Here is a link to a post by member Toro34 showing how to disassemble and replace the rack (great write up): viewtopic.php?f=19&t=23674 I have repaired 2 of these by reusing the exisiting rack with 2 of the 4 'tabs' broken. I am not a repair shop, but just helping friends. Taking it apart and reintalling the broken rack has worked in the past, so you may give it a shot as a temp fix until you can get the part.
