FAQ does not clarify, help copying files please

OK, flame suit is on. I am pretty techinically adept but for the life of me figure out the correct way to copy mods to my AVIC-F7010BT (same as the 700BT).

 

Here is where I am at;

- Updated to OS 2.006

- Got TestMode 2.3

- Found the file "pioneer" in the "project_config" folder of the data file. Edited to change the park brake speed.

 

Inserted SD card, turned on, CE boots up. What I cannot figure out is where to copy the edited file to?

 

Also got a copy of CMH's mod file and would love to give it a go as well, where do I copy the files from the SD card to on the AVIC?

Are there edits, etc. that need to be done on the AVIC besides copying the files? i.e. registry, etc.?

All editing should be done on your computer, not on the HU.

 

Modified files should be put back to a zipped data.zip file befor trandfer to the HU.

 

data.zip on SD should copy to and replace the same file in APL2\iGo\

 

(search data.zip on the forum should give you more detail information. Highly recommended to read those threads before trying to mod.)

data.zip goes inside myflashdisk/apl2/igo,

 

before doing so make sure you back up your file
