I have tried the software bypass but am confused. Does the unit automatically copy the modified data.zip file? Or do I have to find it in windows ce and change it? dumpystig Posted July 5, 2009 Report Share Posted July 5, 2009 The hardware bypass is only applicable if you do the full wiring-loom install. You have to edit your DATA.zip on your PC and manually copy it into the Avic. You really should look into things in more detail, so go to the Hacks forum and do some searching.
