element5inkanata
Just received my updated SD cards by Purolator. Installed ok. There are many steps to follow. I feel like a secret agent getting a mission. All of my settings are intact. The only thing that went to a default value was the Kilometre/metres page. Phone book is there.....poi's etc. Checking it out tonite and tomorrow.....

Spin2Win
ARGGGHHH!!! Had a card read error on the second card at 3%. Hit retry 3 times, and got the "Call Pioneer" error. I'll try to copy the card and try again.
element5inkanata
Tried a route today......the GPS is updating so slow, the GPS is unusable and the street names are gone. The update is a failure. I'll be calling Pioneer Monday. My SD card is an 8G Lexar Platinum II 60x.
hanibal
i have no issues with the gps, i had to format my sd card a few times and seems to work better. Pioneer will do shit for u!! They told me to bring in my unit? Ya right.
KillerX
just a question, is t possible to copy the SD thing or is it somehow married to your unit? and if it somehow is, I would like to see if I could have a crack at it B
element5inkanata
I made a change to the zoom at 200 metres and the street names popped up. The GPS returned to normal today so I won't be calling Pioneer. Don't know why it didn't work right the first time..............
rsquared
Just wanted to share my great experience with the update. Ordered from Pioneer Canada the night of Sept. 8, was shipped Sept 9 and received it yesterday. Installed it yesterday using the instructions on this site and everything went smoothly. Everything seems to be running great, much smoother than 2.0 firmware. Also using it with my updated 3.1 iphone 3GS and it still works perfectly.
hanibal
does the screen freeze up while playing mp3 via sd card? Mine is doing it again!!
Spin2Win
Spoke to Pioneer on my install problems (hangs at 3%, and after 3 retries, tells me to call Pioneer Support). They told me that it is not covered under any warranty, as I bought the unit on line through amazon.com. PITA - Now I'm calling Amazon to see if they can do anything. Not too hopeful. The support guy said that they've sold 185 upgrades in Canada, and have heard of no problems. Rob
