midlifez
On the Audi harness which connects to the radio, anyone know which wire color is the power one for the Audi amplified antenna?
diaftia
Now I just need to find that same connector that will fit a B5 S4 (2001). The connectors for the antenna connections are different. I am using the standard amplified one and it makes things better but not great. Mostly I listen to satellite but the audio quality is so horrible its hard to listen to it for anything other than talk radio.

mtulbert
My problem wioth the Avalon is that the AM antenna connector is skinnier than the FM antenna connector. Not sure if I have to remove it and put a standard one on there and then use the Y connector.

V2A2
The antenna connections in the Audi, VW and BMW are all twin, powered connections. There are two antenna groups in all of these vehicles (usually a roof and rear/rear side glass). Experience after owning 2 VWs and a BMW is that reception is considerably degraded with most aftermakret adapters. Please let us know your experience with that adapter, and maybe, just maybe the radio function of aftermarket radios might be useful.
midlifez
Found it! $50 including shipping on ebay... http://cgi.ebay.com.my/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... 0028814425 It arrived, only 5 days from the UK too! Total including shipping was $50. WORKS GREAT! Gone from only being able to pick up ONE AM station in Dallas/Ft. Worth to more than I can count. FM stations much better too! BIG THUMBS UP! ctsmith
Just installed one of these myself in the Jetta. Does wonders for FM reception but cannot receive any AM stations. It is little loss though as there is literally nothing worth listening to on AM anymore.
