05saleen53 Posted August 3, 2009 Report Share Posted August 3, 2009 Has anyone been able to update from 3.0 to 3.01 with the update file being premodded with the software bypass? I keep getting an error saying file does not match when it starts the install. I didn't have any issues going from 2.0 to 3.0 with the 3.0 file being modded at the time of install but this 3.01 update is giving me some issues. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

How exactly did you try to do the 3.01 update with the modified data.zip? Did you copy it on to the SD card in place of the one provided by Pioneer, then reboot and let it boot from the SD card? If so, that won't work. The integrity check will catch it every time. You'll need to do the update, then replace the file. The 3.0 upgrade gets around that because we're not using an official installation utility that checks itself. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Looks like I just need to do the extra step of modding the Data file once 3.01 is installed. No big deal this will only take a couple minutes more. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
