dbnichols
Well, I've been running this for about 2 weeks now, and all I can say is WOW! The Z is incredible. I have had not one issue, and it sounds awesome...way better than the X910BT I had in first. The interface is much much faster, nearly instantaneous for most all functions, and it boots about as fast as the D3. Job well done, Pioneer, job well done. Here are a couple of pix of mine, and Pioneer's, handywork:

SouthernLCC
Love the splash screen. I am putting one in my 996 this week. Could you share the file for the splash screen please? Is it easy to get the custom splash screen on with the file? Thanks.

dbnichols
Nice! To answer that question above, the background is simple to install once you put it on the SD card and load it on the Z. The hardest part was figuring out the CORRECT size of the image, which is completely mis-stated in the user manual. It is huge, in order get it fill the screen. I'll post it later, with the correct pixel dimension so if you guys decide to make other files, you'll have the right dimensions. -B-

aleicgrant
ok fun aside, what is the proper pic size ????
dbnichols
I'll have to look when I get home tonight...the image is on my computer at home, and I cannot remember the correct dimension. The max dimension horizontal, is correct in the owner's manual, I can remember that much, but the vertical is completely off. If you do the max H x V that is in the manual, the image will have black bars on the top and bottom like a letterboxed movie. -B-

CitizenX
If you use the Avic Feeds software that Pioneer has on it's site, it can format any image in the proper size. Found it handy once I figured out how to use it.
