svtjackal
first, I got the 3.0 done I went on a drive and I notice that I don't get any street names on the map while on 3D mode unless I tilt the map as if I was looking from the top, does anybody has this issue? on a good note, the 3D landmarks on the 2.0 looked kind of generic now they look more realistic here is the united center, before was just a cartoony looking building now it looks better and even has the name on the roof like the real united center. (notice that there is no names on the streets ) downtown chicago, sears tower looks better on 3.0 and lastly, beautiful Wrigley field
slothy
i just went out and tested mine, does the same thing!
greendragon
The street names issue may be a matter of scale. I put on the map this morning on my way to work to see how it looked and I did not have street names at first. I toggled the knob up one step and the street names appeared. DaveZ
For me the street names show up when I am at 500 feet. I have read that this is common with 3.0. Not sure why seams kind of lame to me.
Newman
I have an X-series nav and just wanted to chime in and say that i noticed the same thing. I have my map set at 300ft so that I can see the street names. Some show up at 500ft but not all. 3.0 is much much better than 2.0 but this is one of the complaints I do have about 3.0. I guess I can only hope this is fixed eventually. Also, does anyone have a problem with zooming in and zooming out? Sometimes I hit the zoom out button and it looks like it zooms out a bit but the scale still says 300ft. Then I hit zoom out again and it skips 500ft and goes right to 800ft. This happens at all scales but not every time.
