famjager Posted September 22, 2009 Report Share Posted September 22, 2009 Hello all, I am trying to get the AVIC-F710BT systems (European version) to boot to WinCE, but so far I have not been succesfull. I have read all the posts that concern using the testmode.zip but they all did not do the trick. My system does not boot into WinCE mode... Things I've tried so far: 1. Use two different SD cards, formatted FAT and FAT32 2. Put the two folders on it, once without modifying the MapDBsomething text file and once where I did modify it (adjusting the Area code to EW instead of UC) 3. I even copied the data.zip file from the 3.0 update to the SD card The thing doesn't seem to want to boot into WinCE mode. Why am I trying? I want to get hold of a backup because I've found the updates TeleAtlas maps. I want those maps on my device but before doing so, I want to create a backup in case of "human error".
