xdv-p6 6 Disc DVD changer

Here is the skinny on the 6 disc dvd changer, maybe you guys can help.

The sound is wonderfull and the radio (Avic N3) can control every feature, you can even use the remote pointing it at the head unit and it work (I have the actually DVD unit in my trunk.) here is the problem, I don't like the intergration, or maybe I'm doing something wrong. Let me just list the fault that I have found with the unit.

1. It doesn't list all the discs in the changer.

2. It doesn't transfer disc information to the headunit like the xm unit does

it comes through the video bus (So you have to his a bunch of keys to get track information) so if you don't have your radio bypassed when you are driving you can't see the song information

3. The only information that is actually passed to the head unit is disc #

Track #, folder #.

 

I guess I got spoiled with Sony, but we know sony has been slippin' for a while, if there is anything that I can do to solve some of these issues please help.

 

Note I don't wish to bypass the safety features, I am very suprised that Pioneer would not put some of these basic features.

Yeah, mine works the same way, but mine is also running through a GEX-P5700TV tuner, and a video switcher, so mine is even more complicated.
