askibum02 Posted November 21, 2006 Report Share Posted November 21, 2006 I had my N3 installed at a stereo shop, and had them by pass the video. after reading on here, I gather all you do is ground the parking brake wire and flip the switch on the unit. When I picked up my truck, there was a toggle switch on the dash that I was told was necessary as well. I fail to see a use for it, but the installer insisted on it's necessity. skirodeo7 Posted February 22, 2007 Report Share Posted February 22, 2007 the reason they insist on the switch is a legality issue to cover their asses. basically all it does is ground and unground the parking brake lead. i have one as well, but i installed mine in the center console so when I get pulled over I just flip the switch and everything acts as normal. it wouldn't be a problem anyways since i dont watch movies while driving around, but just in case. but no you dont actually need the switch to bypass it Quote Link to post Share on other sites
