BuffaloSS
Pretty sure most iPods will connect using the iPod-specific cable.
1loudls
5th gen (30 and 60 gig Ipod videos) and newer, however the newest ipods will not charge with the D3's cable (CD-I200)

MPH350Z
Where would I find that at?
1loudls
the scoschee passport will not work for pioneer for some reason, one of my installers has a D3 in his tahoe, and bought one hoping it would work, it does however work for alpines(not that helps anybody here) just not pioneers, weird
MPH350Z
Does anyone know if their is anything else, since the passport won't work
MPH350Z
Am I the only one having this problem?
1loudls
no every one else is having the same problem, the guy at pioneer just told my other installer that he needs to order this part, he hasn't got it yet, so we dont know if it will actually work http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/ ... /CD-IU205V it has a USB plug that you need to plug in to something for power
Ashhong
interesting, a pioneer employee told u that? where are we supposed to plug in the usb though..
1loudls
he recommended using a usb cig socket (Ipod car charger), if it works he will just hard wire the cig socket behind the radio but then again, it wouldn't be the first time somebody from Pioneer was wrong about something! LOL
Pogigreg
i have the 2G iphone and it charges it while i listen and works no problem. like BuffaloSS im sure the ipod cable sold for the unit will work. There is no way the CD-I200 will charge the Ipod touch or the Iphone. Now the question is, will the CD-IU205 work on the D3?
1loudls
the best thing to do would probably be to call pioneer 10 different times on different days getting different people, and ask them if they have a solution or if that would work, then compile all the data into a bar graph of some sorts, and then make the decision based off of that since you never seem to get the same answer twice
