Pogigreg
I'll try some more, tomorrow. My truck has had every Avic from the D1 to the D3, then the Z1, now the Z110BT. First time I have problems from the moment I Install. I can't help but to wonder if I have a perfect storm of malfunctions?
CamelTowing
Is the antenna in the same spot mounted on something metal that your previous decks were? If it is, I would tend think you got the one in a thousand or more that has a bad gyro. Zero learning on the Left & Right is kind of suspicious.
Pogigreg
I am more inclined to believe that I have a bad gyro. All of the symptoms lead to it. I have a fully working D3 on my work bench. I can turn the unit itself to the left or the right, and I can see the turns registered on on the 3D calibration screen. My previous installs, I had my antenna mounted on the roof of my Suburban. Since I started out with a D1, then a D3, and then to a Z1, I never had to change the antenna. From the original installation, I ran the pink wire to the VSS. I couldn't help but to wonder do I need to retap it?
VBLUE42
Your problem is not the VSS regardless if it is connected or not.
Pogigreg
I swapped out the Z110 with a new one. This one is working fine. The other one had all kind of gremlins in it. Thanks VBLUE42 for your help.
