ziopippo
Hello, happy new year to all. I have a question. I have on my car the parking sensor aftermarket, he has a cable that can be connected to the radio to send in the mute state when the reverse is inserted. How do I connect it to connect my Pioneer? Thank's a lot.
CaptainInsaneO
I think you'd use the mute wire for that... unsure. But... inquiring minds want to know... why would you want the radio muted if you put it in reverse?
ziopippo
Thank's for reply. I think you'd use the mute wire for that... unsure. Where can I find the mute wire? which corresponds to pin? But... inquiring minds want to know... why would you want the radio muted if you put it in reverse? I probably explained wrong. I don't want put the radio in reverse. the electronic control of my parking sensors provide a wire to connect the radio that sends a signal to turn the radio on mute. GnatGoSplat
If I remember correctly, it's yellow with a black stripe. Your parking sensor needs to send a ground signal to it to trigger the mute.
ziopippo
if I remember correctly, I already tried to connect the yellow with a black stripe wire, but the radio does not switch to mute. I am not sure that parking sensors send the signal to ground or a +
GnatGoSplat
You can verify the mute input wire by grounding it. If it mutes, then it's working properly. If it works properly, then use a meter or some kind of test light to check what kind of output your parking sensor is sending. If it's a +12V output, then you'll need to reverse this with a relay or a more complicated but clever way would be to use a transistor.

I'll try to test the yellow wire and test the signal of parking sensors and then decide what to do.
ziopippo
All ok. I can not explain how but had accidentally broken the wire from the control of parking sensors that came on the radio yellow with a black stripe wire. All solved Thanks!
