tombonneau
I'm getting my install done on 07 Nissan Sentra next weekend, and am now wondering if I'll need to buy anything special to retain steering wheel controls or if they will all still work? I'm assuming the bluetooth buttons won't work, but will volume, mode, and track up/down still function?
VBLUE42
All of that will work with the PAC SWI-PS version 1.6.8.
tombonneau
EDIT: Ok, so it looks like what you're saying is I *DO* have to buy another component to retain this functionality: http://www.amazon.com/PAC-SWI-PS-Steeri ... B000AXW7SA Correct?
VBLUE42
Yes, but only with version 1.6.8. You need to be specific on that as many dealers may still have the previous version which will not give you the latest functions.
tombonneau
EDIT: Ok, so obviously the 1.6.8 is the rev of the PAC model. How can I ensure that that is what I'm receiving and not an older one? On Amazon they don't carry that info. The PAC website shows the version that is latest is blue, but it's like $80 on their site. Is there a reliable site that carries the latest version at a decent price that you'd recommend?
VBLUE42
You will need to call whoever you decide to order it from to make sure your getting the version needed.
VBLUE42
http://www.amazon.com/gp/browse.html?ie ... ZF0ROPFSE5 The last time I checked this store indicated they always carry the latest version. I would call or email them to be sure though.

They clearly state that it's version 1.6.8 as well - http://cgi.ebay.com/SWI-PS-PAC-STEERING ... 1e5a21954e
tombonneau
Thanks, Steve! I just bought it. And I had forgotten that I had a bit of a Paypal balance, so it was "free" to me. Another question: One installer I talked to mentioned I'd need an AM/FM tuner device? But I haven't seen any mention of one here or elsewhere. Again, I have a 2007 Nissan Sentra, is that something endemic to that model or is it not an issue at all?
VBLUE42
The Z has an AM/FM tuner built in. Sounds like an installer that wasn't thinking straight. I don't know of any aftermarket stereo without an AM/FM tuner built in.

You will likely need one of those for your vehicle.

Basically something like this I'm assuming? http://www.tss-radio.com/nissan-antenna ... -5167.html Or is it something even more basic like this $10 one: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_12040NI12/ ... ml?tp=2569
slamed_am
I have a SWI-PS REV 1.4.6 Anyone know if this will work on the Z110BT in a 2010 Honda Odessy??
VBLUE42
It will work but will not support the handsfree or the voice recognition features of the Z110BT. As mentioned on here, you will need version 1.6.8 if you want to access those features with your steering controls.
