bradthomashines
I have the correct cable to connect to the ipod to the avic d3 and the music and all works fine but the video does not. when i hit video on the d3 it says to control from the ipod and wheni control from the ipod i start the video but i see no video and only hear sound. I've done some searching and people say it can be done and then people say it can't so im just curious if there is a way to make it work or not? thanks
greyhd
If you have the Ipod touch hooked up to the back of your D3 and try to play videos it will NOT work. Now if you get the cables to connect the Itouch to the jack located on the front of the D3, the video will work.
Snipperdo17
I believe you need one of the older iPod classics or whatever that play videos. I don't know much but I tried doing the same thing and I believe I read on here that the iTouch won't play video through the d3.

VBLUE42
Only 5 or 5.5 gen ipod videos will work with the D3. None of the 6th gen iPod Classic or iTouch or iPhone models will work with the D3. Now, there is a workaround for iTouch/iPhone devices that will allow video with the D3 but it requires the device be jailbroken and an app called resupported installed. Once this is done, these iPod devices will work with the D3 as the compatible iPods do.
