halfdead Posted September 22, 2006 Report Share Posted September 22, 2006 if it was me i would take the dash trim out,order the cage and use backstraps as my frame. then just use some fiberglass to strengthen the backstraps so that the cage fits in perfect. to make it flush with the dash trim just use abs. cutt 1/4 pieces or what ever the measurements are on the gaps around the new unit when you put the dash trim back on. and hot glue these pieces to the dash trim. looks great and is easy.
