lakersfreak
Yes I am very clear now. Thanks to all!!! I just wish I could change it without having to brake. Regarding the bypass, is it only done by wiring or are there programs on cd's i can put in the drive and let do its thing?
sthompson11
Only by wiring modification. It's well documented on this forum. There's also some YouTube videos on the subject. You just have to decide if you're willing and able.
lakersfreak
OK I took it in today and the installer fixed my dimmer. However, he couldn't fix the steering wheel functions. He said that I would have to install it through the sync system somehow by purchasing another module. Either he did a great job confusing me or he's confused himself! Â More questions (after I went through the manual) Â 1) What the purpuse of the 3D settings (the one where it shows the car and mileage with bars accross)?? Â 2) When I'm playing my ipod then switch to another media source (fm) my ipod does not pause... it keeps playing.

lakersfreak
well I haven't taken it in, and I probably won't. The thing works most of the time; sometimes it doesn't and it needs a restart. I guess its normal.
VBLUE42
There is a bad connection on that wire. I have the same problem with my SWI-PS.
lakersfreak
ok its more annoying than I can handle. If its a bad connection can the installer fix it?
VBLUE42
Yes. This is usually caused by using wire taps on the wires that are too big for the wires. These connections should be soldered for best results.
