I would assume you are asking for the bypass. Well it really only matters pre-July or July and after. You can get an idea by basically flashing your headlights and seeing if it unlocks the unit. If so, it's a June and before, if not its a July and after.

And if you update it with the bluetooth update cd, you don't need to flash your lights, it's just the 2 wire ground method (07/06 bypass) on that link.

i'm not sure what you mean by flashing the lights...

 

do i turn the lights on and of during the black pioneer screen...

 

or do flash the high beams ???

 

 

and BTW....i do get that warning message...does that mean it's bypassed??

 

i can only watch the DVD when the park brake is on

The parking lights or head lights. What ever dims your nav screen and puts it into night mode.

What warning message? Parking brake message? If so reset the unit with the recessed button to the right of the eject button. Then turn on and off the parking/head lights when you see that screen. Just follow the instructions.
