gte534j
hi, i own a 2010 chevy traverse and it has a factory reverse camera installed. the video appears on the rear view mirror, but i also wanted the video to appear on my Avic F-series unit. Does anyone know how to hack/split the video cable? I am not at my car now, but was not sure what type of connector it was, and if it was possible to split it. I imagine it is probably similar to other chevy cars with factory reverse cameras, so if anyone has experience, please post! Thanks! Ian
gte534j
ok, i found this diagram here: http://www.chevroletforum.com/forum/sho ... hp?t=28134 scroll to the bottom and you will see a diagram. can someone tell me which wire i should tap off to for the composite video signal? It seems like it should be one of these, but i dont understand which one: 6 0.35 WH 7641 Camera Signal (+) (UVC with Y91) 0.35 PK 6972 Camera Signal (+) (UVC without Y91) 7 0.35 L-BU 7642 Camera Signal (-) (UVC with Y91) 0.35 L-BU 6973 Camera Signal (-) (UVC without Y91) FYI, if you have a chevy, the Metra Gmos-01 has all the wiring for the speakers/power/vehicle speed, etc. Its VERY nice.
