W-S Z1
Just installed the Z1 and all is well except I have NO sound while playing DVD, XM, or CDs. Sound is perfect with FM and AM radio!!!!!!!! Faulty auxillary output???? Help. Pioneer says that its a problem with the Bose in my "04 YUKON, but I do have great audio from theFM/AM radio and the proper modules. Therefore, I don't see their logic. W-S Z1
Forget the auxillary thingie above...got to be the head unit.
bdmpastx
Go to AV settings in the Z1 and change the power antenna setting to on rather than radio or hook up the remote wire instead of the antenna wire for the power and it will work.
ducatiboy
If the DVD/CD doesn't work and the AM/FM does, I would assume the power antenna out of the Z1 is powering the signal to turn on your BOSE amps and such the Z1 is connected to. There are 2 settings for the power antenna out: 1. Just when AM/FM is selected (RADIO) 2. All the time the Z1 is on (POWER) Take a look at the middle picture on page 203 in the manual and page 156 for explanation.
ducatiboy
bdmpastx beat me to it. I have got to learn to type faster! I forgot about the "change the hook up from power antenna to remote turn on". That's a good idea to. Probably how it should be wired.
W-S Z1
The remote wire was already connected, but the change to "ON" for the power antenna was not. Problem solved. Thank you.
