themlruts
Just switched out my avin-n2 wiht a new N3 and intsalled my n2 in my dads car. Well now back to the N3. Installed it and i get no radio stations at all. AM or FM no fuzz of anything. Called pioneer says it could be a defective tuner. So i switched out my dads n2 and put the n3 in his car and still the same problem. CDs seem to play fine. Whats everone thought mike
tillithz
maybe check ant. connection?
themlruts
tried all off that already. mike
sportsfan21
There should still be static if there is no antenna. I would have to agree with Pioneer that it sounds like its a defective unit.
tillithz
but both units are now defective? when at least the older unit worked?
sportsfan21
From what I understand, he put the N3 in his dads car and it doesn't work, but hes only talking about the N3. I'm taking that to mean the N2 still works.
cntrylvr79
What kind of car is this in? Might be a loose antenna connection elsewhere in the car. I have seen that happen more times than posts I have, especially in gm cars and jeeps.
tillithz
i think a 99 Jeep Cherokee Sport from his profile, but could be wrong. he should try the n2 and see if it still gets reception in his vehicle.
cntrylvr79
If that's the case then the antenna connection in the passenger's kickpanel should be checked. There's a spring between the 2 connectors that can push them apart if the metal piece surrounding them is worn.
themlruts
thanks for al the help guys i will check the kick panel but i highly doubt its that becuase i just had the avic n2 in there in the morning. Thanks Mike
