  1. It sounds like you have a multitude of problems. If you're not comfortable with stereo work, take it to a repair shop. The antenna probably isn't plugged up. The parking brake wire also doesn't sound like its hooked up correctly. You can try going to settings, a/v,then ensuring AV1 is set to iPod for ur iPod audio issue. If it is then its also a cabling issue.
  2. Bought me one today for $175 on CL, missing A/V harness, GPS, and Nav discs... Jumped on that deal QUICK!!!
  3. I'm fighting with a USB HDD right now... Trying to figure out how to get it to read all my music... I put a folder labeled MUSIC on the HDD, and in that my structure is like this: Artist/Album/# Song Title.xxx. So far I can only get it to read the first 7 or 8 folders of artists and it takes like 2-3 minutes to do that and for USB drive to be available on the A/V selection screen.... Right now I'm trying to Organize it like Music/A/(all A artists) to see if it reads all the A-Z folders....
  4. The SDK's are available to the development community, it's very possible for someone to have the 1/3 finished SDK development version. It's however not available to general users. We've always said that the issue was not the AVIC, but the way the iPhone and touch presented the artwork. Right... And if there's not a picture to prove it, it didn't happen....
  5. So then the deal is, it has to be formatted to FAT32, not NTFS?
  6. The Navi looks like the NavTeq found on my old N3... I really enjoy the nav software found on my F-700BT, going back to an older looking nav seems like step backwards....
  7. Just curious, I'm currently running 3.0 modded and want to return to stock to send my unit in for warranty repair. If I use the x910BT firmware and wipe the memory and put this image back on, will Pioneer know that I've modded the software? What can I do to ensure they don't give me any crap about it, especially seeing my problem is hardware related not software related....
  8. Yup, same thing happens here on my 3G. If you make a call or have an incoming call while connected to the AVIC, when you turn off the car your call gets disconnected. And imcoming calls don't show proper caller ID label even though they're in the phonebook....
  9. For all those replacing the cable, remember, you're going to be moving the position of that plug more than likely as you're replacing the cable. There is the possibility that while replacing it you'll be arranging it in a position that the short (or better yet, open) isn't apparent anymore. Make sure to take your old cable in to your home Av setup and run the Rca's to your setup to ensure you have a bad channel on that cable. This will help to prove it. Some of you may be lucky in that it is the cable, but I've got a feeling later on as the harness settles from the vibrating and moving abou
  10. Wow guys let's use our common sense. Lemme guess, you are using the pre-outs and not the internal amp? The preouts are on the same harness as the RCA in for the iPod/iPhone. BTW... So it would only make sense that you would be experiencing this issue with this plug...
  11. It's not the cable, it's the jack the cable plugs into on the back of the unit. The solder joints where the pins on that plug connect to the mainboard are loosing connection..
  12. Did you notice that AV2 only inputs mono? It uses a standard 2 connector jack that has once channel for video and one channel for sound. AV2 is not a stereo input, but it splits the one channel to both speakers so you have L and R sound... I am so let down....
