karmavore
Fellas... I'm looking for a double DIN NAV deck with maps that I have some confidence will be updated over time. Also, it must have A2DP and analog volume control. Here are my personal PRO/CONS, what do you all think? X920BT + Custom splash screen (wallapaer too?). This is actually pretty important to me. + Less Expensive (Al Eds) - Very gimmicky -- MSN, Pandora, Music Sphere... will this stuff be relevant in 3 years? Doubt it. NT3HDT + Rotory volume control + NAVTEQ maps seem very upgradeable vs. Pioneer + Free NAV (via HD radio) + Built in HD radio - Low Resolution display - Front AUX and USB any help is appreciated! VBLUE42
Personally I wouldn't even consider a JVC with that comic looking display animation but thats just me. As far as I am concerned, the only real contenders in the in dash navi world is Pioneer and Kenwood. If you are looking for something other then Pioneer, consider the line of Kenwood units currently available. The DNX9960 being the most advanced of all in dash navis IMO. The DNX6960 would probably be more suited to you however.
karmavore
I looked at Kenwood but the 99 is way too expensive and the 69 doesn't have A2DP which is an absolute requirement. Thanks for the reply! Lucas.
VBLUE42
Have you looked at the 7160?
karmavore
7160, hummm.... Man, Kenwood has a crappy site. Its so hard to compare units. The 71 is still a little bit highrer than I want to pay. Do you know of any deals? I'm thinking I may go single DIN with the: http://mobile.jvc.com/product.jsp?modelId=MODL028484&pathId=133&page=1 I much, much prefer my iPhone for NAV and I can not EVER imagine controlling my Phone from the head, it's interface will never be as good as the Phone. I do need a monitor for a rear view camera, so this JVC single DIN may be perfect. Thanks for your continued help!!
