I've heard that the cable may not work with the newer ipods. Can anyone verify this?

Can anyone verify this? ive heard that some touches dont transmit video through the dock connector(i have not verified this myself), i would try it with a friend ipod and see if it works. cyber-junkie
I am trying to verify this also... I have a friend and his 5.5 gen ipod classic will play video through his dock sta. on his tv and another friend with a 6 gen and in the same dock won't play the video, just the audio and the 6 gen wont play the video on my D3, have not tried the 5.5 gen, he is kinda anal but working on it... I believe I read something about this somewhere, hope someone who knows will chime in and shed some light on this.
