tubbs99
F920BT & the X920BT are identical models except for the VR feature on the USA version. Therfore, it must be possible to enable this feature on teh European version of the unit. Has anybody any ideas on how this would be done? Any info appreciated

VBLUE42
This would require a hack and that has been covered and stickied on this forum.
tubbs99
Not being computer literate i would be grateful fi you can point me to the URL Thanks
VBLUE42
Hacks are not possible on that unit at least for now.
tubbs99
Well I installed the latest firmware for the X920BT model on my F920 unit. It works fine but the voice recognition feature is STILL disabled even though the files for the feature have been installed onto the unit
krasnobaev
It looks like that both eu and us firmware are identical. I have compared unzipped "AVICZ110.zip" (us) and "AVICF20BT_APL2.00300.zip" with WInMerge and it was no difference. Looks like the difference is inside the software for some specific chips not in the firmware itself.
tubbs99
If that's the case and the difference is not in firmware but the software then it most be possible to hack the sofwtare to activate the VR feature. Are there any glowing developers out there that cna help
VBLUE42
If there were they would be working on it now. Don't hold your breath. There is a hacking effort with promise in the works now on the Z platform so we will need to be patient to see how far it comes. Once that fully materializes it at all, everything that applies to the Z should also apply to the X.
