flykid83
I'm thinking about getting this bad boy but I was confused what it mean by XM Ready? Does that mean that Xm radio is build into the device or do I have to go out and buy the Pioneer GEX-P920XM XM Satellite Tuner for the X920BT. Second question is....Is there a build in hard drive into this device? For example, where does it store the music? Or does it play it off the ipod? If there is storage how much is on the device? Or is it all on the SD Card and we need to buy a big SD card for the space.
rgarjr
U need to buy the separate XM tuner. The unit has no built in hard drive. You can use an iPod or SD card to hear your tunes.
flykid83
Thank you for that response. What about the cable wire that is needed to hook up the ipod. I know my car came with a similar looking wire but made by a different company. I have a 335xi and my car came with the cable with it. Can I use the same cable? todd612
The ipod/iphone is connected to the USB port. The unit has a rear USB port and comes with a USB extension cable where you can route it anywhere convenient or hidden away.
mhermann
From what I have read, you need the pioneer one. It is not just USB but also has an audio/video cable that needs to be hooked up.
