  1. Hi, Just wanted to follow up everything works. The download link and instructions were great and does indeed work on the X920BT. Many thanks to all the contributors and RonS for your help!
  2. Hi RonS, Does this work on the X920BT? Sorry, if this was answered before. I browsed though several threads and read conflicting information. If it does work, I have already downloaded the "2015 USA CANADA MAP UPDATE.zip" from here: z130bt, z140bh, x930bt, x940bt - newer units and will follow veron_fat's steps.
  3. What's the cost of the upgrade (from prior years)?
  4. I also have a Pioneer 4200DVD and it has "JPEG Image File Playback on CD/DVD". But our higher-end navigation units like 920BT does not support it.
  5. I have the 920BT. So does this work on the 920BT or is it 910 only?
  6. I can't believe the geniuses decided not to have a power off button or reset function. So far I've had to turn off my engine six times (just to restart the system) in the three months I had the unit. Before any questions me, I am using their latest stable release 2.003. Randomly, the unit behaves erratically like not understanding voice commands. Many times it needs to update the voice dictionary with my iPhone. Don't know why it gets corrupted and when it does takes hours to finish. Oh, and it would be nice if the "OFF" button actually switches the source to none, turns off the LCD display (a
  7. The ipod/iphone is connected to the USB port. The unit has a rear USB port and comes with a USB extension cable where you can route it anywhere convenient or hidden away.
  8. Strictly speaking the Pioneer Navi works. It get's me from point A to B. In comparison, I've owned two portable Garmin navis 350 & 760 that has its flaws too. Garmins interface is nicer looking and more intuitive but I've had issues with its navigation. e.g., it doesn't give out the best routes, its logic is mediocore at best and insist you go a specific direction even though you know it's better going your way based on real world experiences. So far I like Pioneer's navi how it shows you which lane to be in on multi-lane roads and a bar graph countdown before your next turn. And I lov
  9. I've called Pioneer tech support too and insisted she pass this feature request and others to their firmware design team. She was like sure but couldn't wait to hang up my call. Hopefully, enough of us ask where they get the message and release some real updates to their firmware to fix some of these "flaws."
  10. I wish Pioneer update their software to include this feature. I use Google Voice a lot and would love to have this functionality on screen.
  11. I wish I had another quality mic to test it but I don't. Also, my system was installed by a local dealer and I would have to tear out the front dash again to have access to the connectors. My setup is: - iPhone 2G - 2010 Nissan Versa hatchback - Phoenix Gold 230 XS and Rockford Fosgate P300-1 amps, JL Audio components and Pioneer TS-3002D4 subwoofer Again, I tested this in my garage on a quiet night so there are no road noise.
  12. Let's keep this thread on topic. You can rant or rave about your Kenwood or Pioneer in another thread. So I've had this upgrade installed for a couple of days now. The old BT noise Pioneer "fixed" is gone but a different buzzing noise still exists. With my last firmware v2.002, my friend described it as a swooshing back and forth sound. Now it is an annoying constant buzzing sound that is less subtle. Frustrated with the performance I decided to test this myself and called my home phone while the car was parked in my garage. The buzzing noise is clearly annoying on the receiving end. To co
  13. Pioneer posted a new firmware Version 2.003 for US customers only. The notice said it addresses problems with BT mic and navigation. I have V2.002 now and will compare this when I get it installed later today.
  14. iPhone 2G with jailbroken v3.12 OS. BT works great. Setup connection once and after wards it re-connects automatically when get in the car every time. Contacts transferred over fine. I tried using BT A2DP (stereo bluetooth on iphone) and it's works but is very primitive and has static every so often.
  15. Add a second Pioneer product to your cart. I wanted the Pioneer TS-W3002D2 12 In. subwoofer and it applied the 10% on this too.
