madmanfrommars
I have multiple .jpg pictures that I want to put on my n3 as a background. I burned them to a cd in a folder called "bg", and I put 100+ mb of random crap onto the CD, I think it was the root folder for a game or something. Anyway, I put the cd in the n3, on the screen is says "Reading Format" and I just keep hearing the laser move and click around trying to read it. All of a sudden, the entire unit goes dead. It turns back on again with a black screen and in little white letters at the top "PIoneer navigation is starting up" or something to that effect. I then got the cd out of there and put my nav disc back in. What the hell happened?

madmanfrommars
Ok maybe killed was too strong. Nevertheless it didn't work, what happened?
free_refil
What type of "random crap" did you put on the disc?
madmanfrommars
Like I said in the first post, a system folder on my hard drive. Something out of the windows root directory I think.
free_refil
Ya, probably put some stuff in there the system didn't like. I myself just put a bunch of video files on it ending with .avi and didn't have a problem.
99 rs
Is this a newer thing where you have to fill it with random stuff? On my N1 I just put the 20 pictures in the folder and THAT'S IT. Nothing else. It has always worked.
hybridamp
I didn't have to put anything besides the background photos, worked fine.
