Recommended Posts

Hi guys. What a great forum! Ill cut to the chace though. Will the Z1 fit in my car? I have a 2001 Nissan Maxima w/ BOSE. I am looking to get a stock look. Is there a way to make it perfectly flush with the dash? Thanks everyone for your time and help.

Anything can be done if you have the tools and the time.
My crossfire is a single dinn car that not sports a z1 that looks factory.
Your best bet it to slide yours out and take some measurments and plan ahead.

The only double din kit out there for your vehicle is made by scosche. I installed a D1 in a 2000 Maxima with this kit, modifications were necessary. The mounting holes in the radio bracket had to be pounded flat and new holes drilled 1/4" ferther up. The kit also had to be modified because the double din opening did not match up with the D1. Once it was all modified it looked really good, especially because the kit is colormatched to the rest of the dash. It wasn't a complete match but you can only tell from certain angles and it sure as hell looks better than a plain black plastic kit...

It should fit, you can purchase the GXE double din trim piece that includes the air vent. It'll look really clean then.
