You are NOT screwed! I got stuck at the 99% too I just had to burn the update disc diffrent till I got one to work. I got the 4th one to work and it picked up right at the 99% and finished. It works just fine. I got it to work by unziping the downloaded file and placeing the files one at a time into nero and then burning and ISO image on a cd-r Best of luck.

Am I the only one who thinks this is stupid? When I put an entry into the address book and name it "ed's house" so it works with the voice command. How do I know the address after the fact? When I arrive, if the house doesn't look familiar how will I know the house #? Am I missing something or is it just me? Thanks

if I say call "who ever" It only works with the #'s in the address book not the phone book. and it wont work in the av mode....

I know you shouldn't have to but if I didn't I got the 99% error, just wanted others to know how I got around it.

You must extract the zip file. Copy the extracted files into nero or other program. Don't just drop the whole folder, this gave me the 99% error. Put the files into nero one at a time then burn the cd-r Burn as iso image. Worked for me.

I have a playlist I use in traffic called "Drive like an ass" The use pf good playlist is needed due to the slow interface.

The z1 is not perfect. But I believe it is the best in dash double dinn unit availiable. If I need to buy a new unit, I would get the same one.....z1

well it has been more tha 6 month since the last update. any word on a new one?

Ok I downloaded the update and burned it to a cd-r as an iso using nero. It got stuck at 99%!!!!! Then I opened the iso image on my computer and copied the contents into nero and burned a cd-r as an iso and it worked!!! If you get stuck at 99 you will need to do it that way. I got the info here somewhere but I wanted to confirm it was the same for me! Anyway first impesssion is the update helped. my wife would complain every time I tried to use the bluetooth. I called her and just stated talking. I said I was on my way home and she said" you can't be in your car you sound good!" Time

Wow that sounds like they really stand behind what they sell.... Good for you as that is pretty rare in this world.
