Norman56
Hello this is my first post here. I purchased the CNDV-900HD upgrade disk from Pioneer. In the instructions it mentions that you need to update your firmware to install this map upgrade. The Unit in my car has the following details Version, 01.0000, Device Number, E1693651E186851 CDDB VERSION, 06-01-0010. Do I need to find the firmware update to have the CNDV-900HD install to work? In the instructions it says you need HDD Application Version 2.140000 or higher for it to work. Is this true? Thank You Norman
garrettoomey
You need to follow the instructions to successfully update the maps. Why are you installing CNDV-900HD (2009) instead of the newer CNDV-1000HD (2010)? ■Press the “MENU†key ■Select the “Settings†tab ■Select “Hardware†■Select “Service Info Screen†■Press & hold left upper corner of the “Hardware Version†screen for a few seconds to see the TRUE version number. See this site for firmware update details and download: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Support/Navigation/AVIC-Z1+and+Z2+Firmware+Update+Download
