Tosh
Hey all i had the D2 installed into my xterra the other day and i noticed that in my xterra i can raise the parking break up one click, and the car still moves. This gives me full function of the nav and everything. Is this safe for the car? or is it gonna wear and tear some internal stuff? Also since the D2 is already installed and i have to ground the parking break, wouldn't the wire be under the parking break and i can find it and ground it rather than take out the whole unit? just a thought i'm probably wrong because no where around here will bypass it for me and i don't want to mess with it. Thanks in advance for the help. -Tosh
tillithz
yes, you will cause damage over time, if only slightly. IN addition it may not be connected to the parking brake at the parking brake. it may be elsewhere in line in the car. YOu should just bypass it properly.

cntrylvr79
probably didn't hook up the power antenna lead or the antenna plug came loose.
