69sixpackbee
I have just installed newer version of TA maps and they come with two DEM files. Should I use those or keep my one old low DEM file? Thanx, Bud
BorisM
You don't _need_ any DEM files. If you live in a particularly hilly area, larger DEM files will give you more 3D landscape look. Will use up more memory, too.

I DO live in a hilly area and it is nice to see the graphical representation of the local landscape when navigating. I have, to my avail, three DEM files: North_America_83_NASA_070919.dem (181K) USA_83_CGIAR_081010.dem (118K) NorthAmerica_low_2008_03_25.dem (181K) So I guess they each in their own way are similar, correct? I guess I'll pick one. Thanx! Bud

The one I was using was about 254MB or so.
