I doubt that the 5v power that the HU furnishes on the US cable will spin-up many hard-drives. You might get it to work with an enclosure that takes an external power supply. That is - if you can find one that will plug in to a 12v socket. You could also get a small 120v AC inverter. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
