PLEASE HELP! We changed the car battery and now AVIC D3 won't work correctly

Recommended Posts

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

We bought a used Dodge and just had to put a new battery in it and now we are having problems with the Avic D3 unit. We put the CD in to reset it and now it won't eject. But it may have to do with the system asking for "mother's maiden name" (which we don't have because we bought the car used) and even if we knew that information, the touch screen won't work for any button we push (seems that it might be browned out?). We're thinking all of these must be related to each other and the battery change because everything worked just fine before we put the new battery in.

Does anyone have any ideas? We desperately need to get this fixed so we can sell this car. We can't afford the car payments!! PlEASE HELP!!??

sounds like the unit is password protected, along with another problem. if you dont have the password, even if the screen was working, you would have to send it in to get it unlocked, so you probably have to send it in to get repaired too.
