dayday
4 times in the last two weeks my unit has frozen on a blacked out screen after a quick restart. Everytime this has happened has been when the vehicle was shut off for less than 5min and restarted. Seems to be related to the "quick restart" feature. When it happens everything is frozen including the reset button, all I get ate the volume and home buttons lit. The unit is inopp. until the vehicle his shut off for an extended period of time. Anyone else experiencing this?

khaled44
i have the exact same problem started last week and the unit is only 6 weeks old!! My unit does not even startup at all anymore just the buttons light up and thats it. Tried disconnecting the battery and re-connecting and still no joy. I have also called Pioneer (customer service is crap) they told me to take it in to specialist so they can have a look and could take up to 3 - 4 weeks. Not happy here. I had the unit fitted professionally as its quite difficult to install it on my Honda FR-V.
dayday
Sounds a bit more serious. Luckily mine will resume normal operation after having the car off for a longer period of time. However, it's a pain in the *** when your depending on it for GPS and it "blacks out" after stopping for gas or running in a store for a snack I can still use the gps on the phone only but it still sucks not being able to benefit from the appradio display and audio.
