josemesona
I've developed a version of AVIC FEEDS for Windows Phone. It lets you search for POIs in the Maps app, Bing, or Local Scout and add them as contacts so they show up on the head unit. It also lets you search by address. Does anyone use a Windows Phone and would like to try it out? I just switched from an iPhone and I'm assuming a majority of AVIC navigation users have iPhones as well. I might just save the app for myself but if there's any interest I can publish it out to the marketplace for free. For now I can send out a link for beta testing. Troyfrezze
Consider me sold. I've loved my Focus for the past year and have gotten several people to swap over just by either seeing me use it, or by wanting to play with it themselves.

firefox
Just used this app. It works pretty well. Any chance to get the phone # to transfer over as well?
josemesona
Unfortunately, the Windows Phone SDK only sends the name and GPS coordinates of the place you searched for to my app. I tried having my app search for the phone number given those details but it proved unreliable. I'm hoping to discover a better way to look it up or the next version of Windows Phone will pass this information to apps like mine.
firefox
Just upgraded my phone to a Lumina 820 with Windows phone 8. On my old phone, I could look up a POI in the maps and then put into AVIC FEEDS through the "applications" menu. Looks like the new maps in Windows phone 8 do not have this sub menu. Anyway around this?
foretwoone
for those of your with a windows phone i have a question. i work for verizon wireless and im due for a new phone. Seeing as how i hate iphones, im considering the HTC windows 8x, but im wondering how well it plays with the z140bt. specifically im curious if i can connect pandora through bluetooth or even better with the regular usb cable. What limitations will i have?
