Cant find VSS or backup wire

I have a 2008 hyundai elantra with a x930bt. I did the bypass but I have no idea where this VSS wire is located. I would also want to install a rear view camera I bought this one http://www.amazon.com/Koolertron-Universal-License-Vehicle-Waterproof/dp/B0049LBJ56/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1328999741&sr=1-2. I know the yellow rca goes into the head unit but Im not sure where to get power from? Thanks

Could always tap into the reverse lights.

i would get power from the camera from the acc wire at the radio, then you can get the reverse trigger wire from the reverse light bulb at the back of the car. that way you could always use the camera when not in reverse if you wanted too.

and according to directechs, the VSS wire is gray/orange or gray located at either the data link connector, 16 pin plug, pin 6 or at the BCM, white 20 pin connector, pin 6

(The BCM (Body Control Module) is in the center dash, behind the A/C controls. The data link connector is under the driver dash.)

 

it also says that the reverse wire is gray or brown, located either in the drivers kick panel or back of the fuse box, 30pin plug, pin 13 or 14.

 

 

 

 

as always, test all wires with a DMM, not a test light!
