crazed_z06
I just registered here because I installed a x940 last night and can confirm the videos are correct. On my harness, I just had to move the yellow wire up one notch.
coolguy2010
I just registered here because I installed a x940 last night and can confirm the videos are correct. On my harness, I just had to move the yellow wire up one notch. I am going to get 940 installed tomorrow. can you please also clarify if you also had to ground the other wires as mentioned in some videos OR just had to move the yellow wire up one? Thanks! coolguy2010
I got the 940BT installed yesterday but the bypass is not working. The bypass was done using the steps in Video 1..it cuts off video after 40-45 speed with an attention message. anyone else had this issue after the bypass and suggestions to fix it? soze
I got the bypass working for the 940bt the first time... using this... http://www.ebay.com/...984.m1436.l2649 I went ahead and bought an extra wire, because I didn't want to remove the mute wire and re-use it. I wanted to keep the wire where it was, and just add an additional one. This kit was all hooked up with the proper connector and ready to go. Basically plug and play. On the other end of the wire... I joined the Parking brake wire (green) + this bypass wire + pioneer ground (black) + harness ground (black) together.
dannymk2
does moving the mute wire pose an issue for the bluetooth on the radio?
VBLUE42
No.
werewolf
I hate to bring up an old thread but thought it be better than starting a new one on this topic. With the bypass can I grab any extra wire and use it bc I have to use the mute wire for my truck. Thanks

However, I know I had a pro install done and they used a microbypass and I still have mute. If you search on youtube, there is a video for the other method using a microbypass, which I believe you can do yourself.
